Alan Wake is an action-adventure psychological thriller presented like a TV series, where each episode ends in cliffhangers as the mystery deepens. When Alan’s wife disappears during their vacation in Bright Falls, he finds pages of a horror story he doesn’t remember writing, while a Dark Presence turns the town against him. To survive, he must master the Fight With Light combat mechanic, using flashlights, flares, and other light sources to weaken the darkness before finishing enemies with conventional weapons.
